I received very exciting news this week - I've been selected to attend the NASA Tweetup for the launch of STS-134, Space Shuttle Endeavor's mission to the International Space Station, scheduled for April 19th.
Although I've already confirmed my attendance with NASA I have no idea how I'm going to fund this little unplanned excursion to Florida or if I can get the time off.
But if everything works out this will be the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to see a Space Shuttle launch.
Since becoming a teacher and a father I've found it more and more important to share my love of peaceful exploration, adventure, and technology with others. I can't think of a better way to do that than through this event!
I'll keep you posted here as I learn more but for now here is a little tribute video I made for the Space Shuttle program.

I will sell my first born. Just kidding. This is both the dream and adventure of a lifetime. I've watched a launch from across the river, but front row seats is something else. Once in a lifetime. And we know this for sure, because it's also the last.
Thanks for the comment - so true, so true!
Honestly I was very surprised to have been selected... must have been my lucky week I guess!
